With the high temperatures last week we thought beach season was finally upon us, so we packed our bags and headed west to one of the weirdest beach towns possibly on Earth…Venice Beach. The land of individuality, half naked super buff (and super not) humans, and all around eccentricity. Much to our dismay the winds decided to kick up about 10 mins in and we instantly became the Medusa twins. To escape the blustery gusts, we settled inside Larry’s, a delicious (but way over-priced) bar & restaurant in the heart of Venice for a quick bite. After dinner, we set out for the beach to enjoy the final moments before sunset. When the temperature started to drop (and considering we were so not appropriately dressed for the gusty beach night), we knew it was time to call it quits and head back home. On our way, we stumbled upon, Smokey, quite possibly the chillest pit bull you could ever meet. He was almost too cool for a picture, but we caught him last minute.
While we managed to enjoy our less than perfect beach day, we will be impatiently waiting for our chance to have our feet in the sand again (preferably with much more desirable weather)–we’re talking to you Mother Nature!
Always and Forever,
